14 Best Cydia Apps To Make Your iPhone Better

Here are the my 14 favorite apps on Cydia to unleash what you iPhone is capable of. Your iPhone must be jailbroken in order to install these apps. I won’t be covering much on how to jailbreak your iPhone. Google it, there’s a ton of guides out there.
But remember, do this at your own risk.
1. SB Settings
SB Settings is the best way to manage Wifi, 3G, Bluetooth, Brightness and so on without going to the phone’s setting. Just wipe your finger along the clock to access SB Settings. Simple as that. Addons also available for OpenSSH, AFP and etc.
2. iFile
Explore iPhone’s sytem fileĀ with iFile. iFile has everything what a file explorer should have. Comes two version, free and commercial for some extra features. A must have app.
3. iBlueNova
Wondering how to send songs over bluetooth on iPhone or vice vesa? Look no more and install iBlueNova. Works wonderfully together with iFile. A commercial app.
4. Winterboard
Winterboard allows you to customize iPhone’s theme and let you install new ones via Cydia with ease.
5. Signal
This newly released app was written by @planetbeing, one of the respected member of the famous iPhone-Dev team. Signal shows which cell tower you are connected to and other cell towers around you on the map. If you are geeky enough and like to read cell reception data, this is the right one for you. Its a commercial app on Cydia Store.
6. Terminal
Another geek’s delight. It lets you run commands on iPhone like you used to do on Linx, Mac or Windows.
7. iProtect
Wanted to protect your phone from itchy hands? Use iProtect to protect all your want-to-be-protected-apps with passcode. Commercial app.
8. Unrestrictor
Unrestrictor forges the app to believe that its running on Wifi instead of 3G. Best use with Skype for cheap VOIP calls. Commercial app too.
9. Reminder
Want to have a notification icon of missed calls, unread messages, emails like other phones on your iPhone? Use Reminder.
10. 5 Icon Dock
Why would we waste the space if we can stuff in more icon on the dock. As the title says, 5 icon dock lets you have 5 icons on the dock.
11. Recent Delete
Apple must have forgotten to have this feature on their magical device. You now can selectively delete the unwanted calls from recent call list. Cheater’s delight perhaps.
12. Installous
This is for all the filthy pirates out there! Ahoy matey..a booty! Yo-ho-ho! Add http://cydia.hackulo.us to Cydia source.
13. iBlacklist
Getting annoyed of your ex or getting away from someone-who-you-owe-money? iBlacklist will do the job of rejecting the calls and even sms. A commercial app with trial period.
14. Zawgyi Font iOS
If you are a Burman, you’ll definitely love/need this font package made by Saturn God. Zawgyi Font iOS is a font hack which enables the iPhone to display Burmese language. Head overĀ to his blog for how-to.
