Genting: City above the Clouds
So I took a one day trip to Genting aka City Above The Clouds. Usually takes an hour bus ride (62.7 Kilometers from my place). Its a resort city on the hills with theme park, hotels and the casinos. Its almost like “Kyite Htee Yoe” of Myanmar except there is no pagoda up there.
Just keep in mind if you are traveling there for the first time, you need to take time starting from waiting for the cable car at the base of the hills and especially on the weekends and public holidays obviously. There will be long queues everywhere. We had to wait for an hour just to get a cable car that goes back and forth from the base to the top of the hill. Getting there is quite cheap if you take the bus, it would cost you around RM 5 (Approx. 1.5 $) for the bus and another 5 for cable car.
Food is quite pricey as usual.
You gotta be above 21 yr old to get inside the casino and unlimited rides ticket for the outdoor theme park would be RM 44 depending on peak/off peak.
Weather is quite cold and windy up there so you might wanna bring something to put on.
Oh and make sure you bought the return ticket together when you get the tickets. That’s a must unless you wanna get into hassle of finding bus there.
